Sunset Beach, N.C.
If
you haven't discovered Sunset Beach, you haven't seen the Carolina Coast!
Sunset is truly a "family beach" and can be best described by the things
we don't have: high-rise condos, commercialism, high density, traffic
jams, or inconsistent land use to distract from the quiet relaxation and
enjoyment of our splendid natural resources.
To enter the uniqueness
of our beach community, you drive across a quaint bridge over the Intracoastal
Waterway. Nestled among the sea oats and dunes you'll find your vacation
home inviting you to enjoy our wide uneroded beaches, inlets, bays, marshlands
and waterways. Private, quiet, safe, and personal.
Sunset Beach is hard
to leave but easy to find! We're located on N.C. 179, twenty minutes north
of the Myrtle Beach area, ten minutes from Calabash, N.C., and fifteen
minutes from Shallotte, N.C.
On the island of Sunset
Beach, we have a grocery/convenience store, fishing pier, several gift
shops and bicycle rental shops. On the immediate mainland you'll find
service stations, restaurants, liquor stores, major grocery stores, drug
stores, seafood markets, marinas, and dozens of public golf courses.
Sunset's environments
are ideally suited to swim, bicycle, sail, ski, enjoy boating, go crabbing,
surfcast or fish from the ocean pier, sunbathe or just plain relax. If
you wish, it's an easy 20-minute drive to Myrtle Beach.
Enjoy the quiet simplicity
of Sunset Beach, and the beginning of a beautiful experience that will
always be here.
